Hi. I’m Anne Gregson, lover of the arts and fun instigator.
In 2000 I learned the process for making solar plate etchings from Master Printmaker Dan Welden. The process appeals to my need to play (with color during or after printing) and exercising the logical side of my brain so it doesn’t turn to mush (making the etching plate & printing). Mom Nature inspires me, the woods behind my house, my dog and often what the materials unexpectedly do.
I “transplanted” myself to Schroon Lake 21 years ago by way of Glens Falls, New Orleans, Ohio, N.J. and R.I. I wear lots of hats - I was the K-12 Visual Arts Department for Schroon Lake Central School for 20 years & have taught adult art classes, too. I am a certified Professional Life Coach. Lately I’ve been showing up at open mic to sing and you will often see me walking with my trusty dog Cooper on Charley Hill Rd. or bending like a pretzel at Yoga Class. I’ll be building a website later this spring – look for it at www.GratefulGonzo.com
