Evelyn H. Lucas has the best of two worlds with studios at her residences in Southold, Long Island and on Brant Lake in the Adirondacks.
After an education in advertising art and design she began her career in advertising in New York City. While vacationing in St Thomas, she was inspired by watercolor artists which began a long productive career in painting.
Evelyn has shown extensively in numerous galleries and shows through long Island, New York , and New jersey. Her work has been displayed in such places as the Heckscher Museum, Guild Hall, the Anthony Giodano Gallery of Islip Museum Annex, The Art collector, Bolton Landing, The Connoisseur in Rhine beck and the Gallery East of Hampton.
Additionally, her work has been exhibited in the famed John Christopher Gallery in cold Spring Harbor and Stonybrook as well as the Peggy Mack Gallery on Shelter Island and the Wilson Gallery of New Jersey to name a few.
Evelyn’s paintings have received numerous critic citations from such media as the New York Times and Newsday as well as many others. Her paintings have been purchased by Corporations, Designers and private collectors and are displayed throughout the United States, South America, Europe and Japan.
